Since 2008, Matthew Beall has been CEO and Principal Broker of Hawai‘i Life Real Estate Brokers, a company he founded in partnership with Winston Welborn. Recognized as an industry leader, Matthew manages all aspects of the statewide brokerage firm’s operations and all its business units, which exceed $40 million in annual revenue.

A top-producing broker in Hawai‘i since 1998, Matthew brokered the most significant residential real estate transactions in Hawai‘i’s history and led several successful teams as Broker-in-Charge before launching Hawai‘i Life. His wealth of experience gained over more than two decades has made him a highly recognized thought leader in the industry. Recognized five times by Inman News on their Top 100 Most Influential Leaders in Real Estate, Matthew has also appeared on Stefan Swanepoel’s Power 200 List. 

As CEO and Principal Broker of Hawai‘i Life, he is responsible for thousands of real estate transactions totaling more $6 billion in aggregate sales annually. Matthew oversees 17 commercial offices, 351 salespeople, 30 full-time employees, and additional part-time staff. Hawai‘i Life’s property management division also falls under his purview, with 250 vacation rental properties and 345 long-term rental properties under contract. As Principal Broker, Matthew oversees lease negotiations and leasehold improvements.

Matthew holds fiduciary responsibility for Hawai‘i Life, managing risk, government relations and requirements, legal matters, and Board of Realtors relations. He also oversees the company’s marketing services agreements and advertising budgets, in addition to managing strategic partnerships, company partnerships, and wholly-owned businesses that include Hawai‘i Life Mauna Kea, LLC, dba: ”Mauna Kea Realty,” Hawai‘i Life Wailea, LLC, and Real Life Hawai‘i, LLC.

He is a graduate of the Hawai‘i Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. He has been a member of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, Realtors Association of Maui, Hawai‘i Island Board of Realtors, West Hawai‘i Association of Realtors, and the Kaua‘i Board of Realtors. 

Matthew served as the Kaua‘i Board of Realtors President and on the Executive Committee of the Hawai‘i Association of Realtors. He currently serves as President of the Board of HiCentral and sits on the Island Leadership Council of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation. He is the immediate past Chair for the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust.  

Matthew attended the University of Richmond in Virginia and the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. He and his wife Elif live on the North Shore of Kaua‘i.
